The Court Improvement Program (CIP) is a result of three federal grants that support improvements in child abuse and neglect cases. CIP Basic focuses on improving the quality of representation and court proceedings, including youth and family engagement. It also provides funding to support local court improvement teams. CIP Technology supports the development and implementation of DNet and court technology to improve court practice. DNet is a state wide shared data base between the Supreme Court and the Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS). It allows for parties in a dependency-neglect case to share information and data. CIP Training reinforces these programs by coordinating and supporting judicial and stakeholder training, educational opportunities, and resource development. For more information about various CIP programs, please contact the CIP Director, Terri Looney at 501-450-1955 or at Terri.Looney@arkansas.gov .
