PRO SE MOTIONS FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE BRIEF AND TO DISMISS APPEAL [CIRCUIT COURT OF PULASKI COUNTY, NO. CR 77-1933, CR 77-1934, CR 77-1939, HON. JOHN LANGSTON, JUDGE]

MOTION TO DISMISS APPEAL GRANTED; MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE BRIEF MOOT

In 1978, Billy Ray Hale pleaded guilty to multiple felony offenses and was sentenced to an aggregate term of life imprisonment. In 1999, Hale filed in the trial court a pro se motion seeking to be provided at public expense with a certified copy of the record from the guilty plea proceedings. The motion was denied, and the record on appeal from that order has been lodged here. Hale, who is proceeding pro se, filed a motion for extension of time to file the appellant's brief. He then filed a motion to dismiss the appeal.

The motion to dismiss the appeal is granted. As the appeal is dismissed, the motion for extension of time to file the appellant's brief is moot.

Motion for extension of time moot; motion to dismiss appeal granted.
