Arkansas Bar Examination Requirements
and Information

Satisfactory completion of all requirements for a degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.

Fees for Examination

A single money order or cashiers check payable to the Clerk of the Supreme Court in the amount of $400.00. The payment should be attached to the front of the questionnaire. Make certain that your check or money order is negotiable for at least six months from the date of issuance.
Applications for the February 2010Arkansas Bar Examination will be available online after September 1, 2009. After that date they also may be requested from:

Filing Deadline

The next examination for which applications will be accepted will be conducted February 23, 24, 25, 2010. The deadline for filing that application is 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2009.

The exam lasts two-and-a-half (2 1/2) days. The first day will be composed of the Multi-State Performance Test (MPT) and the Multi-State Essay Examination (MEE). The second day will be the Multi-State Bar Examination (MBE). The last day will be Arkansas essay questions.

Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination - MPRE

As a prerequisite to admission to the Bar of Arkansas, you must successfully complete the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE), by obtaining a scaled score of 85 or more. It is the applicant's responsibility to arrange transfer of MPRE scores to this jurisdiction.
