Statutes — Commentary to Ark. Code Ann. § 5-27-203 suggests intention to criminalize conduct where person charges with care of child leaves child with intent to abandon; term "desert" as used in statute requires State to show that defendant had no intent to return for child; State failed to provide evidence that appellant intended to permanently leave child; circuit court erred in denying appellant's motion for directed verdict.
